Using a variety of amplitude modulation and frequency modulation techniques, this album has a series of melodic pieces that are all trying in some way to interrupt the tinnitus signal.
There are a lot of mixed sounds here, going for more of a sound designed, overall composition. I wanted to mix everything into a soundscape where each track had enough that would both cover tinnitus and create some interest for the brain.
The Theory
On the outside this is mainly different forms of modulation. Principally using amplitude modulation but experimenting with frequency modulation alongside. Ive also added elements into the mix of acoustic neuromodulation.
My theory with this was to add enough into the mix that it didn’t feel like listening to a therapy piece, rather to embed the therapy into a soundscape.
Probably the most advanced in terms of sound bed of my tinnitus music to date.
