Rain Sounds to Soothe Tinnitus

overview

Rain is just such a classic sound to have in the background to mask tinnitus. I love nothing better than being in the rain, it’s just so soothing for my ears.

These rain sounds have been designed to cover the full frequency range, so where there are some lovely sampled heavy dripping sounds you’ll always have a blanket of other rain sounds as a backdrop.

The Theory

Straight up tinnitus masking.

The key difference is that I’ve mixed and altered the audio spectrum so you don’t have any frequency deficits. For me personally and anecdotally a lot of chronic patients, having a frequency deficit can mean the tinnitus jumps up to cover the missing frequencies – what many people will call reactive tinnitus.
